Swofford Career Center is a multi-district career center serving Spartanburg School Districts 1 & 2, including Boiling Springs, Chapman, Chesnee, and Landrum High Schools.
The mission of Swofford Career Career is to develop responsible, cooperative, productive, life-long learners by interacting with community and industry to provide a secure and challenging learning environment which promotes individual abilities.
H. B. Swofford Career Center is accepting applications for the following positions:
- Graphics and Printing Instructor
- Computer Systems Technology Instructor
- Culinary Arts Instructor
- Protective Services Instructor
- Health Science Instructor
- Auto Mechanics Instructor
All applicants must meet the criteria required by the SC Department of Education for certification. Experience as an instructor is preferred but not required. Salary is based on experience and the teacher salary schedule for Spartanburg County.

Construction Continues on Swofford Expansion

Construction continues on the expansion to Swofford Career Center. Swofford has experienced fantastic growth in the last few years, and our facilities are growing to match student needs! Popular programs will get more space and updated equipment, and new programs will be added to accommodate the changing job market in the upstate. 2012 promises to be an exciting year for Swofford and our students!

Swofford Breaks Ground on New Expansion

In March of 2011, Swofford Career Center broke ground on a new expansion that will house a new Culinary Arts program, and expansions to the Commercial Graphics and Automotive Mechanical Technology programs. The expansion is expected to be complete by Spring of 2012.
